Day to day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa

The professional guide will expect you at the Gongga Airport with comfortable private transfer. Drive to downtown Lhasa, which is the highest located city in the world with the attitude of 3,650 meters above the sea level.

Day 2: Lhasa (B)

Make the most of the day by the in-depth religious adventure to the magnificent Potala Palace, the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a local Tibetan family. An a la carte meal will be served at the top end Sichuan cuisine restaurant in the evening.

Day 3: Lhasa (B)

The escorted tours today will cover some other highlights of Lhasa - the Drepung Monastery, the Jokhang Temple, the perfect mixture of Han and Tibetan style both in the architectures the rituals of the Religion; the bustling bazaar along the Barkhor Street, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Lhasa departure (B)

Leave Lhasa. Pack your luggage and get ready for leaving. The guide will transfer you to the airport, and help you board the plane. Say goodbye to Tibet and fly out.

Day 11: Drive to Manasarovar Lake, tented camp.

Day 12: Rest day at Manasarovar Lake (visit Chiu Gompa in the morning).

Day 13: Drive to Darchen, and tented camp.

Day 14: Trek to Derapuk, and tented camp.

Day 15: Trek over Dolma La Pass (5600 meters.) and trek down to Zudulpuk, and camp.

Day 16: Trek to Darchen.

Day 17: Drive to Paryang, and tented camp.

Day 18: Drive to Saga, and tented camp.

Day 19: Drive to Nyalam, O/N at Guesthouse.

Day 20: Drive to Friendship Bridge, then to Kathmandu. O/N at hotel

Day 21: Sightseeing tour at Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar squares. O/N at hotel.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu (1300 m.) arrival:
Pick up from the airport/ Drive to hotel/ briefing. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu:
Breakfast, trip to temples and back to Hotel for lunch. After lunch, final preparation for yatra i.e, checking and demonstration of equipments which will be used during yatra. If any body needs to buy or get things on hire, our staff will give you company. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Nylam (150km), 3750m:
Morning after breakfast leave Kathmandu to commence yatra to Nyalam [3750M]. We reach Friendship Bridge [Nepal – China Boarder] by mini-coach. Walk along for 10 minutes to cross the bridge and there get acquainted with Chinese guide and land cruiser drivers. They will give a brief information regarding the further trip then proceed the journey to Zangmu, where all the immigration and custom formalities are ought to be accomplished. After the accomplishment of all formalities, we proceed to Nyalam. Arrival at Nyalam and overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 04: Rest Day at Nylam, 3750m:
It is more a day for acclimatization.

Day 05 Drive to Saga/4450m: (Labug-La 5150m, Peku-tso and Saga, 232km)
On the first long driving day over the sandy and rocky land of Tibet, other things like lake, nomads chasing thousands of yaks and sheep keep you busy. By the late afternoon you will cross Bhramha Purtra River way to typical Chinese and Tibetan town, Saga for night.

Day 06: Drive to Paryang (4600m) 230 km 7-8 hrs:
Jeeps and trucks roll on the wide valley following rivers and grazing land of yaks and sheep. Far south you can see snow covered peaks near by you, lots of rocky peaks and sand duns give you an ideal world. Depends on season, nomads and other mobile shopkeepers are attired by beautiful traditional costume, waiting your arrival with hot tea and other supplies along with big smile.

Day 07: Drive Paryang to Manasarover (4558m) 277km 8 hours:
The longest driving day starts with full of excitement, by the late afternoon you can have the first sight of Holy Kailash Parbat and Manasarovara. Hore, a small village near by Lake Manasarover. Holy-Manasarovara: At 14950-ft/ 4558m. The highest lake of fresh water with turquoise complexion in the world is full of fishes and swans. Holy Kailash Parbat, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, Lake Rashekshi are lying on its surrounding. The region is considered rich for gold and other mines, hot springs and hundreds of wild living creatures. Night will be spending at Chu Gumba.

Day 08: Puja and drive to Tarchen (14975ft) 40km:
Manasarovara is the lake of compassion, tranquility and bliss. After completing the memorable morning Bath and Puja we will be heading towards Tarchen. It is considered as a base camp for the Holy Kailash Parikrama. .

Day 09: Trek to Dehara Puk/5000m:
It is one of the exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs; water falls with some clouds in the clear blue sky make you feeling that Great God Shiva is every where with tons of blessing to you. Time to time the face of Kailash Parbat will be keep on appearing. For 15 km trail it takes almost 7 hrs.

Day 10: Hardest but Holiest day of your pilgrimage Yatra with Dolma-La (pass) of 18600ft between two valleys:)
Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva-sthal while your steps go closer to the pass. Once you reach the top, just do the holiest offering and sit down for meditation to forget yourself. Once your steps go down, Parvati-stal and Gauri Kunda are on the way. By the late afternoon you will arrive Zuthal Puk (the cave of Miracles. The great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have performed miracles here).

Day 11: End of Kailash Parikrama and drive to Manasarovar:
After walking 3 hours, all the driving crew will be waiting your arrival. By the late afternoon you will be at your lodge/camp.

Day 12: Drive to Paryang (277km) 7-8 hr.

Day 13: Drive Paryang to Saga (230km) 7-8 hrs

Day 14: Drive to Nylam or Zangmu: (245km) 6-7 hr. A

Day 15: Drive back to Kathmandu (150 km) 9-10 hr.
In the early mornong we drive to border for all the formalities of China Customers. You will be met in Kodari of Kathmandu Side. Tour ends.

Lhasa to Everest base Camp Tour

This tour consists of two parts. The first leg of the trip begins with excursion in Lhasa visiting the Potala palace, Jokhang, Sera and Drepung Monasteries. After Lhasa we drive to Tingri via Gyantse, Shigatse and Sakya, visiting all the popular monasteries along the way. The second pare of the trip will be the Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek from Tingri on the friendship Highway; it is relatively easy to access. The walk is not particularly strenuous- only one low pass must be crossed. Near the Base Camp is the reconstructed monastery of Rongbuk, once one of the largest monastic complexes in the region. The view from here of the Everest North face, perhaps is the most dramatic of tall its sides, is unforgettable.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 01 : KATHMANDU-LHASA (3650M)
Fly on Air China flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, Tibetan guide shall meet you and transfer provide to Lhasa city.

Day 02-03: LHASA SIGHTSEEING TOUR:
Visit The Potala & Norbulinka Palace, Drepung & Sera Monastery, Jorkhang Temple & Barkhor Bazar. Overnight at htl.

Day 04: LHASA-GYANTSE:(259 KMS)
Drive to Gyantse crossing the Kamba La (4794m) & Koro La Pass (5010m). via the Lake Yamddrok Tso. Overnight at htl.

Day 05: GYANTSE-SHIGATSE (3900M-90 KMS)
Morning: Visit the Khumbhum Supa & Phalkor Monastery at Gyantse. Embark on a pleasant 2 hrs, drive to Shigatse.
Afternoon: Sightseeing tours of the Tashilumpo Monastery and the free Tibetan market. Overnight at Htl.

Day 06: SHIGATSE-XEGAR (3900M-244 KMS)
Drive over to approx. 8 hrs to Xegar. Overnight at Htl.

Day 07: XEGAR- RONGPHU (4920M-60 KMS)
Drive over rocky terrain on 4WD by Land Cruiser to the village of Dza Rangphu. Overnight at Htl.

Day 08: EVEREST BASE CAMP EXCURSION (5090M)
A 2 hrs trek from the Tongbuk Monastery will lead you to the base camp of the highest peak on earth. The north face of Mount Everest (8848m) or Mt. Quomolangma in Tibetan. Explore the Base Camp and the Tangphu Glacier. Retreat to lodge. Later in the afternoon, return to tingri (approx. 96 kmss/3hrs). Overnight at Htl.

Day 09: TINGRI-NYALUM (3750m-214 kms)
Drive downhill to Nyalam crossing two spectacular passes- The Lalung La (5082m) & Nyalam (3800m). Overnight at Htl.

Day 10 : NYALAM-KATHMANDU (1200M-123 KMS)
Drive downhill to Zhangmu and to the Friendship Bridge where transportation awaits for the groups for final journey to Kathmandu.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Nyalam (3750 m.)
Drive from Kathmandu to the Tibetan border at Kodari (Zhangmu). Continue up the steep switch back road to Nyalam.

Day 02: Rest Day in Nylam..

Day 03: Drive from Nylame to Shigatse (3900 m.)
En route, visit Shakya Monastery before crossing the Lalung-La (4500m) and continuing across the plains to Shigatse.

Day 04: Drive from Shigatse to Gyantse (3950 m.)
After visiting the Tashilimpu Monastery, it's a short drive to Gyantse with its amazing sights - Khumbum, Palkor Chode Monastery and Gyantse Dzong.

Day 05: Drive from Gyantse to Lhasa (3650 m.) via Yamdruk Lake (Turquoise Lake).
The highlight of this day is the beautiful turquoise lake, Yamdruk - Tso. After crossing the Kamba- La and the Yarlung (Brahmaputra) River, the journey ends in Lhasa.

Day 06: Lhasa sightseeing Tour
Guided sightseeing tour of Lhasa - You will see Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Norbulinkha Palace (the Summer Palace of Dalai Lama).

Day 07: Lhasa sightseeing Tour

ABOUT THE FACILITIES FOR THE TOURIST IN TIBET:

Besides, the road between Tibet and Nepal is not up to the standard. It is rough, bumpy and full of bends. Particularly, during monsoon (June-August), It can be temporarily obstructed by landslide and erosion. Therefore, a bit sporty wears and shoes are much advised facilitating the travelers to walk over the landslide - especially in the Nepal portion.

TOUR DEPARTURE TIME:

Generally, the overland tour to Tibet starts at 5 AM from Clan treks and expedition office located in Thamel, Kathmandu. Our representative will provide you all the details about your program one day before the departure day in our office. Reroute, breakfast stop is made at Dhulikhel. An early start is made on the first day, as China time is 2 hours 15 minutes ahead of Nepal time in winter and 3 hours 15 minutes in summer. You'll report and embark on your journey at the friendship bridge (116 KM / 6 hrs drive) Kodari.

After completing immigration formalities on the Nepal side, you'll drive uphill to Zhangmu (8 KM / 45 minutes) to the immigration post. Our Tibetan representative and guide will meet you here and will take care of your entire tour arrangement.
